MatchingDonors.com is coming to Ireland.

MatchingDonors.com is the largest 501 c3 nonprofit organization in the United States that helps patients needing lifesaving organ transplants find living altruistic organ donors. Since launching in 2004 the award winning MatchingDonors.com has helped over 10,000 of our registered patients needing organ transplants and over 15,000 of our registered living altruistic organ donors willing to donate an organ to a patient on MatchingDonors.com.

We are anticipating the passage of the 'Human Tissue Bill' currently being debated in the Dail Eireann (Irish Parliament), which will have a provision on 'altruistic donation', among other matters. Once this happens, we will be sending vetted altruistic living donors registered on MatchingDonors.com, from the United States to Ireland, that have chosen to donate a lifesaving organ to a patient (stranger) needing an organ transplant from Ireland. We will also be registering Irish citizens on Matchingdonors.com to be living altruistic organ donors and patients needing lifesaving organ transplants.

Soon we are launching our new historic program in Ireland for MatchingDonors.com to help quickly save the lives of every Irish citizen that needs an organ transplant in Ireland that can accept a living altruistic organ donor. We already have many, but we are always looking to attract more, Irish American organ donors, philanthropists, and corporate partners to support our program.

MatchingDonors.com is founded and run by very proud Irish Americans who have decided that, when the 'Human Tissue Bill' is passed we will bring MatchingDonors.com to Ireland, and there will be no cost for our services to patients or donors in Ireland. Also, all food, lodging, and transportation, and lost wages will be covered for the donor and their support person by funds raised by MatchingDonors.com, Irish American philanthropists and corporations.

Over the years we have been inundated with requests to bring MatchingDonors.com to many countries around the world including Ireland. I have also been in contact with Surgeons in Transplant/Vascular/General Surgery at the Irish National Kidney Transplant Service (NKTS), saying “I am sure your organization will be a huge help in Ireland too once we get the legislation passed and introduced into our program.”

According to Ireland’s Health Minister Stephen Donnelly, at any one time there are over 500 people waiting for an organ transplant in Ireland, but in 2022 there were only 250 organ transplants including only 33 living donor transplants. We already have more than enough registered altruistic living donors, many Irish Americans, registered on MatchingDonors.com that are willing to travel to Ireland to altruistically donate an organ to every person currently on Ireland’s kidney, liver and lung transplant waiting lists that can accept a living donor transplant. Hopefully, we can save every person needing an organ transplant and Ireland with in only a few months. We will also be registering Irish citizens willing to be altruistic living organ donors to a stranger in Ireland needing a lifesaving organ transplant.
